Equipping a fast-growing business with best-in-class fleet technology
"Bell stepped up and got the job done. They pulled and replaced our
old hardware in just 45 days, which is phenomenal for a fleet our size."

Environmental 360 Solutions
Technology is a key competitive advantage for Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S), a waste management company committed to sustainability and growth. GPS solutions, for example, optimize vehicle utilization and route planning, reducing fuel consumption and boosting customer satisfaction.
As a rapidly growing company with a broad geographic presence, E360S needed a partner who could quickly equip their existing fleet and seamlessly integrate new acquisitions with best-in-class technologies. This meant not only reliable GPS fleet tracking systems but also dashcams and other solutions to support their ambitious growth strategy.
E360S found that partner in Bell.
A growing company in search of the right technology partner
E360S has a mission to become the leading and most trusted environmental management company in North America. Focused on landfill diversion and sustainability, E360S has leveraged technology to quickly gain ground in Canada’s waste management sector, experiencing substantial growth since 2018. Today, the company offers waste management, organic processing and recycling services in Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
This robust national presence is the result of nearly 80 acquisitions since 2018. To manage this level of growth, Ardellini’s team needs to rapidly integrate each company’s people, systems and assets – including vehicles – into the E360S way of doing business.
This includes fleet technology, but their existing GPS solutions weren’t working as expected. There were periods of downtime and errors in readings for mileage and hours. These inaccuracies compromised the company’s key performance indicators and, ultimately, undermined employee confidence in the system.
Beyond addressing these issues, E360S was also interested in exploring other solutions for their fleet, such as dashcams to promote driver safety and minimize insurance costs. They engaged a national wireless carrier for an upgrade, but the process was taking months, leaving E360S feeling stuck with their unreliable GPS technology.
As acquisitions continued, the pressure to resolve these issues intensified. “If not done right, growth can kill a company,” says Danny Ardellini, E360S founder and CEO. “So, after an acquisition, it's crucial to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. For example, we use real-time data to improve fleet utilization nationwide, so the faster we get those systems up and running on the new vehicles, the better it is for our business.”
Needing an improvement, E360S sought an alternative technology partner to upgrade their existing solution, suggest opportunities for further improvement and help ensure the seamless integration of new fleets and operations.
How Bell helped E360S
After meeting with a Bell representative, E360S received the initial paperwork within 24 hours – a step the previous carrier hadn’t completed in more than 14 months. Ardellini says this was the moment he realized Bell's potential as a long-term partner.
"The key fact was that someone came in and listened," he explains. "They secured support from their boss and their boss’s boss in under a day. That demonstrated Bell's strong internal alignment and processes in place, because our voice was heard very quickly.”
Leveraging their strong relationship with Geotab, a leading provider of fleet management solutions, Bell sourced new location tracking capabilities for the E360S fleet. This fleet, comprised of various truck types due to numerous acquisitions, presented a challenge. Despite the complexity, Bell’s professional services team successfully removed the existing GPS units and installed the Geotab solution across the entire fleet in under 45 days.
E360S is ready for the future
With accurate and reliable GPS technology in all their vehicles, E360S now has the real-time data they need to maximize vehicle utilization and minimize costs. They can confidently continue acquiring companies, knowing they have Bell's support to quickly integrate new vehicles and onboard staff.
"Bell's ability to move fast to get us the technology our fleet needs is critical as we continue to grow,” Ardellini says. “Because Bell operates all over Canada, we know we’ll have their support wherever we expand."
To support driver safety and coaching, Bell also helped E360S deploy new dashcam technology from Surfsight. Ardellini notes that tractor-trailers are often unfairly blamed in accidents, so having a video “eyewitness” helps facilitate insurance claims while protecting the company from unnecessary financial losses.
What’s next
Already a Bell customer for mobility services, E360S plans to explore other Internet of Things solutions, such as tank monitoring. With a proven expansion template in place, they now have plans to expand into the United States.
"From the outset, our vision for E360S was to acquire companies and equip them with the best technology. Our experience has shown us that Bell is the perfect partner to support that vision."
